Thingumajig Theatre is a visual theatre company based in West Yorkshire, England which specialises in creating and performing innovative puppet plays and interactive giant puppets, led by co-directors Kathy Kim and Andrew Kim. As well as the United Kingdom, Thingumajig puppets have performed in Ireland, Denmark, Italy, France, Luxembourg, Germany, Hungary, USA, Korea, China and United Arab Emirates.
Case Study show: Ghost Caribou
Ghost Caribou is a walkabout act with a static show where two 4-metre-tall caribou lantern puppets and a caribou herder and her wheeled cart are performed in the street or festival along a designated route. The caribou interact with the audience and then stop and perform a 15-minute static show which involves music (live and recorded), movement and a shadow puppet play before they continue their promenade.
